Cut your power bill

ComEd and Ameren both offer time-based rates, where power costs more in the afternoon and evening. Powerwall charges when power is cheap and runs your house through the expensive hours.

Have solar, or adding it? The battery saves your extra daytime solar for the evening, so you use more of what your panels make instead of sending it back to the grid for a smaller credit.

At your site visit we look at your actual bills and rate plan and show you what a battery can save.

Questions we hear a lot

FAQ

Do I need solar panels to get a Powerwall?

No. Powerwall 3 works on its own as backup and charges from the grid. If you add solar later, the battery works alongside it.

Will it run my central air, well pump or sump pump?

Often, yes. It depends on the motor sizes and how many batteries you have. We do a load calculation at the site visit and tell you exactly what will run.

How long will it keep my house running?

That depends on what's turned on. Running the essentials, one battery can carry many homes through an overnight outage. With solar, it recharges during the day.

How much will a battery save on my bill?

It depends on your rate plan, how much power you use in the afternoon and evening, and whether you have solar. We go through your actual bills at the site visit and give you a real estimate, not a guess.

Are there rebates or incentives?

Utility and state programs change often. We'll check what's currently available for your address and include it in your quote.

What areas do you serve?

Chicagoland suburbs and Ameren Illinois territory. Put your ZIP in the form and we'll confirm.

Next outage, don't notice it.
